And we all thought the legendary Star Wars saga had come to a close with Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, we un-fanatics who are too lazy to read all the Star Wars novels and comic books, but are average fans nonetheless, are in for a cinematic treat with Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Set for a theatrical Hollywood release in August 15, the stories revolving around the era of the Clone Wars will be then later be carried on as a television series for Cartoon Network. Most, if not all, is speculation as of now regarding the story. Of course, the series will fill in the gaps more between Episode 2 and 3 as compared to an earlier animated series released consisting of five-minute episodes.
The film is directed by David Filoni and is said to bring back characters such as Anakin, Padme, Palpatine, Count Dooku, General Grievous as well introduce new ones like Anakin’s padawan Ahsoka, and other villians that have succumbed to the dark side of the force.
A new trailer has just been released, and it’s sure to cause great hype amongst fans.
