If there’s one actor who doesn’t need to do much acting but ensures one hell of a performance, that’s Jack Black. His roles are so perfect for him that it’s almost difficult to imagine how he is off screen.

Mike White, the genius behind the script of School Of Rock, already finished penning the script for the second installment of the movie he specifically wrote for his best bud Jack Black. Also, the star seems pretty thrilled to be doing the next one, but is still uncertain if they’ll go through with the project or not. It also uncertain if Michael Linklater will return to direct, but if he does I bet it’ll be even funnier than the first. The A Scanner Darkly director and the Kung Fu Panda star’s pretty busy with current projects, but both of them are willing to do School Of Rock 2.

School of Rock is probably one of those movies that you could just slam inside the DVD player alone or with friends and it’ll still be a great comedy to watch. There are a lot of reasons to be excited about this news: the kids, the music, the guest musicians, everything! We’re just so excited about this one that all we can picture is Dewey Finn’s famous rock out bulldog face and his history of rock diagram. Rock on!
