The producers of this summer’s ultimate blockbuster Speed Racer , a 70’s cartoon show aimed for kids at the time, were disappointed with its $20 million weekend compared to the at least $50 million that they were expecting.

A couple of reasons surfaced as to why the mach 5 rider came second to Iron Man. Some claim that Mothers wouldn’t want to watch Speed Racer on Mother’s Day, choosing What Happens in Vegas instead. Warner Brothers allegedly inflated their numbers, much to the mockery of other rival studios. The coming week is said to generate much money for Speed Racer, and WB’s only choice is to wait.

Other movies included in the top 10 are Made of Honor, Tina Fey’s Baby Mama, and Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.
