The Guitar Hero franchise’s answer to the threatening success of Harmonix’s Rock Band is coming our way later this with quite a hefty price. Guitar Hero World Tour will feature multiple instruments, namely guitar/s, drums, and a microphone.
However, other than the soundtrack, what separates this title to its rival is that it will feature a mode where you can create your own music. Also the game’s drum set will be fashioned much closer to the real thing as it will have a high-hat and a cymbal in the “proper” places. The bad news it that the Rock Band drum set will be incompatible with this game. So players better start saving up, which bring us to more bad news.
Though the game will be sold without peripherals for $59.99 for the PS3 and 360, $49.99 for the PS2 and Wii, the whole package comes in at $189.99 for the PS3, 360, and Wii while the $179.99 price tag wil be for PS2.
Even if nothing is still final as of now, having to spend that much (again) on a game doesn’t seem like a good idea.
