Thanks to the latest video streaming technology Hollywood icons who were too lazy to go to Cannes can now take part in this year’s 61st annual Film Festival. With the help of Skype’s live video calling, personalities such as James Cameron, and Vince Pace can be “wired-ly” present during discussions and interviews held at the American Pavilion.
Reportedly, Skype has supplied the American Pavilion with a wi-fi cafe equipped with hardware that visitors could use to make free calls and video feeds to anywhere in the world, and to show how Angelina Jolie’s twins are holding up inside her belly.
The Cannes Film Festival will be running from May 14-25. Casting calls or auditions via video streaming for short artsy films need not apply (if ever that makes any sense).
