Noooo, Sarah Jessica Parker didn’t just wear a dress that’s already been worn before on the night of Sex and the City premiere? But she did! Yes, the famous fashionable character was almost stripped down of her couture royalty when the press found out that the Nina Ricci silver dress SJP wore was already worn by socialite Lauren Santo Domingo during a highly publicized event last May 5.

Of all the celebrities and of all the nights to commit a red carpet repeat, it had to be Sarah Jessica Parker on her big Sex and the City premiere night. Apparently, Theyskens, the fashion house that owns Nina Ricci swore that the dress has never been worn before, but it seems like they think of her dumbly like a donkey eating dung. We all know that when celebrities wear a certain brand, the publicity and sales shoot through the atmospheric layer of superficiality very fast. Theysken’s defense was they don’t think of Lauren Santo Domingo as a celebrity, and rather a friend that needed something to wear on a charity MET event. And they thought they could run away with it without hearing from the vicious watchmen of the fashion industry. Sex and the City is probably the MOST fashionable show ever, and news like this could stain it’s movie’s reputation but we think otherwise.

SJP took the mishap nonchalantly, feeling as if she was “tricked” and uninformed. It is such a shame that she’d choose to wear nothing than to be in a situation like this. Believe you me, you should be fine seeing her on the same frock everyday for the rest of your life than to see her wrinkly naked body that looks like an old Amazonian tree. It was also reported that Parker had 40 other different dresses to choose from and she picked this one. Aw, that’s probably going in her diary.
